Shooting victim could lose leg after Werribee crash

A ROCKBANK man may lose the lower half of his right leg after he was shot.

Police discovered the man’s wound after he lost control of his car and crashed into a power pole on Werribee Street, Werribee, on Saturday.

When police arrived at the crash, they realised the man was bleeding heavily from a wound to his right leg.

The man, 61, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two Werribee men, aged        20 and 25, have been charged with intentionally causing serious injury and assault-related offences.

They faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday and were remanded until August 16.
