Re: Wasting life away sitting in traffic (Weekly, May 15):
Nothing will change – the responsible people have screwed it up over the last few years and will keep screwing it up. There is only one solution: move out of Point Cook. Sad but true. Just a few years ago it was a great place, not any more. It is a problem that could have been avoided through proper long-term planning. PC Resident (via web)
It’s a real shame these results couldn’t have been released a year ago when I was going through the exact struggles mentioned above. Then, when I voiced my opinion of my struggles, I was humiliated and excluded by a local community group and some of its members. Funnily enough those particular members were ones that didn’t have this constant daily battle and no understanding of the immense stress such a commute can put on a person and their home life.

Re: Lawyer bares plan to unseat PM (Weekly, May 15):
Unless we made this seat marginal, no development will take place. This is the best opportunity to vote for Liberal, as Labor will not do anything as they know they will win this seat comfortably. The best solution is to make this seat marginal so that both parties will work for this seat. Arvinbhamoz
What a lacklustre effort. Even when the Labor party is going to lose at the next federal election, the Liberal party puts in a weak effort to wrest the allegiance from the traditional Labor voters. I hope the new arrivals wake up to the reality of a rubbish dump, a container terminal and more congestion that is slated for the west’s residents. You are still being treated badly by the main parties.
