WERRIBEE Drill Dance Club is making a name for itself after winning four gold, one silver and one bronze medal at last month’s national championships in Sydney.
The club’s under-12 and under-17 teams won their dance categories, while the senior and masters squads scored impressive victories in the drill team routines.
Team members including Ayla, 11, Hayley, 10, Amy, 14, Taylor, 13, and Tonniel, 17, had to perform different routines in categories such as dance, prop and drill team, choosing a theme for each routine and music and costumes to match.
Club president Julie Melbourne said the under-12 team wowed the crowd.
“Much credit must go to our coaches who headed the creative process for all routines, costumes and music.”
