Draft budget on display
Wyndham Council will release its draft 2013-14 budget on Monday night. The Wyndham draft city plan for 2013-17 will also be presented at the meeting at the civic centre from 7pm. Copies of the budget and city plan will be available at wyndham.vic.gov.au and city libraries from Tuesday.
Get moving during Heart Week
Wyndham residents are being urged to get active and join a Heartmoves exercise classes during Heart Week, which runs until Saturday. The program suits anyone who hasn’t done exercise for an extended period. Classes are held at Wyndham Leisure and Events Centre, Victoria University’s Werribee campus, Domain Health Physiotherapy in Werribee and the Featherbrook, Point Cook and Tarneit community centres. Flying the rainbow flag
Wyndham will fly the rainbow flag on International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (May 17). A free community event is on at the civic centre, including a flag-raising ceremony, light lunch, guest speaker and information stalls, 12.30-1.30pm. Details: 9742 0777.
