A WERRIBEE family has sacrificed an overseas holiday to offer a reward for the safe return of their beloved dog.
Wes and Caroline Rampling’s 10-year-old border collie Molly went missing from outside their house about 6.30am on Monday, April 15.
Mr Rampling said his wife and teenage sons were devastated by Molly’s disappearance. He said Molly had been part of the family for five years and had even acted as ring bearer at his wedding.
“We are deeply heartbroken about our loss, as would any passionate pet owner.
“[Molly] was a rescue dog. We got her when she was five and Caroline trained her and made her comfortable with people.
“We’ve been through some tough times with her.”
Mrs Rampling said the family had been saving for a holiday to Thailand for two years but had decided to use the money to offer a reward.
She said the family would not ask any questions about how the person claiming the reward came to be in possession of Molly.
“We don’t want to know. We just want Molly’s safe return.”
The Ramplings are asking for Molly to be taken to a vet or animal shelter, where her microchip can be scanned and the family contacted.
