A new campaign has been developed to help advocacy groups lobby for improved buses and roads in Wyndham. Wyndham Transport Advisory Council representative Cr Peter Maynard said the initiative was sparked by feedback about transport services. “Many residents said they had become so sick and tired of Wyndham’s congested arterial roads they’re even considering moving out of the municipality.” Chairman John Menegazzo said the committee was planning to hold a public forum on the city’s bus network later this year. He said state government representatives, academic experts, industry and transport user groups would be invited to discuss issues such as direct bus routes, frequency of services and connections to stations.
