Re: Williams Landing station to face old issues (Weekly, April 24):

Andrew Elsbury just can’t get it. We don’t want to ease congestion in the short term. Parking at train stations will always be insufficient. The community requires reliable and frequent buses.

Try Sayers Road during peak hours – it is a car park. To top it off, not a decent bus stop along that road. Buses have no way of pulling on to the side of the road. Access for pedestrians is through the mud or risk getting run over by traffic. Great public transport. Does Mr Elsbury actually travel around here during peak hours?Google Earth is way out of date guys. There are more houses here than what it shows!

Who needs a gym membership when you can climb the stairs or walk the ramps at this station?

Re: Werribee Mercy Hospital beds to stay closed amid funding doubt (Weekly, April 24):

If you were ever in any doubt about how the state government feels about the health system, just look at the way it has treated our nurses and paramedics over the past few years. Disgraceful.

Re: Same-sex couple says ‘I do’ to NZ nuptials (Weekly, April 24):

Not too long ago blacks and whites were not allowed to marry. The arguments then were much the same as those today against gay marriage.
