A MAN has been found dead after a fast-running grass fire broke out in Little River on Tuesday afternoon.
Police discovered the body in a paddock near the intersection of Little River-Ripley Road and Kirk Bridge Road about 4pm.
The fire is believed to have started near a shed on Little River-Ripley Road at 3.30pm and quickly spread to surrounding paddocks.
CFA spokesman Gerard Scholten said eight fire crews took about 30 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
Police spokeswoman Jo Stafford said police were still to determine if the man died as a result of the fire.
He is yet to be formally identified.
