Super stats for Wyndham bike network

WYNDHAM cyclists had their movements recorded last week as part of the Bicycle Network’s annual ‘Super Tuesday’ bike count which provides the opportunity for councils to find out how many residents cycle and when and where they ride.

Volunteers like Win Brown (pictured) conducted the count at sites around the city, including the intersection of Point Cook and Dunnings roads in Seabrook.

Data will be used by councils to plan for bicycle infrastructure.

Bicycle Network futures manager Mike Williamson said reliable data strengthened cases for investment in better facilities.
