Homes burgled
Houses in Wyndham Vale, Tarneit, Hoppers Crossing and Werribee South have been broken into in the past two weeks. Police said DVDs, jewellery, computers and coin, stamp and sword collections were among the items stolen. The houses were broken into between Friday, February 22 and Tuesday, February 26.
Number plates taken
Number plates have been stolen from three cars in Hoppers Crossing. The plates were stolen from vehicles in Pannam Drive, Tootles Court and outside Werribee Plaza between Sunday, February 24 and Tuesday, February 26. Plates were also stolen from a car at Werribee railway station.
Son ‘loses’ dad’s car
A Wyndham Vale man had his father’s car impounded for 30 days after being caught driving while disqualified for the third time. The man, 21, was caught by police on Rosella Avenue, Werribee on February 14, with two women and a newborn baby in the car.
Car wheels stolen
The rear wheels were stolen from a car at Hoppers Crossing railway station on February 26. Its owner returned to find the car on wooden blocks.
