TAC ad misses the mark, again
As someone who regularly deals with road trauma victims throughout the western suburbs, especially vulnerable road users such as motor-cyclists, I was saddened to see the TAC has decided to
re-run a television advertisement from 2009 that was widely condemned by the riding community at the time. The TAC has had years of correspondence from those who ride and are advocates of safe riding — this ad, ‘The Ride’, misses the mark. It
also flies in the face of the recent parliamentary motorcycle safety inquiry that reported the figures used in the ad were inaccurate.Geraldine Collins, principal, Maurice Blackburn Lawyers Sunshine
I, for one, will not be voting Labor again.

Re: Tarneit voters win a stronger voice
Tim Pallas will ignore the residents of the west just like every other Labor MP because he knows that they will blindly vote for Labor at the next election. Then those same residents will complain that nothing ever gets done in the west.

Re: Port Phillip operator slammed for ignoring ‘duty of care’ as prisoner dies You only have to sit in the visitors section of the prison and one wonders who should be behind the bars? Fact: There is no real rehabilitation for any prisoners. Prisoners ask to see medical staff or for medication, say they are depressed and none of this is addressed by the prison. Jessica (via web)
