TO many people the idea of running 60 kilometres is a daunting task, but two Werribee residents are gearing up to do just that.
Peter Cullen and Lesley Hurley are among those signing up for the Great Western Ultra to raise money for RecLink, which strives to enhance the lives of disadvantaged people by involving them in sporting, social and artistic pursuits.
The run, on Sunday, March 10, will take participants on laps along the Werribee River and runners are asked to pledge to raise $500.
Mr Cullen, who is RecLink’s national development manager, said the money would help the organisation run its programs which it hopes to expand this year.
