Plea for return of late father’s stolen watch

A HOPPERS Crossing woman hopes thieves who broke into her house will find it in their hearts to return her late father’s watch.

Margaret Miller has had her father’s watch since he died more than 50 years ago, but it was stolen from her Strathmore Crescent house between Boxing Day and December 30.

All of Ms Miller’s jewellery, along with money and Swarovski crystal ornaments, was taken.

She is pleading for whoever took the watch to return it.

“The watch has sentimental value for me. I’ve treasured it.

“My dad died in 1956 and I’ve had it ever since. I was 15 when he passed.”

Ms Miller said the thieves broke a window to gain entry to her house.

“I feel unsettled in my own house and violated. Whoever broke in tipped over anything they could.”
