WYNDHAM Council has been recognised for its commitment to preventing violence against women.
The council received an award at last month’s Victorian Health Promotion Foundation Awards.
The council and Women’s Health West have been working to establish a western region action plan to prevent violence against women. The plan is the first of its type.
