New date for Werribee Cup

Werribee Racing Club is gearing up for the second Werribee Cup this year. A date change means the next cup will be held just before Christmas. Manager Ross Kendell said it had been difficult to promote the cup in recent years after it lost its permanent date prior to the Melbourne Cup. He hopes the new December 16 meet will help build the cup into something special for Werribee. More details: countryracing.com.au.
