WYNDHAM can play a bigger role in science and innovation, according to leading Labor identity Barry Jones.
The former Lalor MP (pictured) visited Werribee last week to address an inaugural oration in his name. He spoke to about 130 members of the business community packed into the ballroom at Werribee Mansion.
Mr Jones said learning and skills development were important and promoted the value of investing in science and technology.
Mayor Heather Marcus said it was a privilege to have Mr Jones address the community.
The annual oration is organised by the council and aims to raise the profile of learning and skills development, innovation, creativity and technology in Wyndham.
