Werribee station parking squeeze eases

A car parking squeeze at Werribee railway station will be eased following the creation of 80 new spaces.

Commuters battling for a spot during the morning peak, when many are forced to park illegally on nature strips along Cottrell and Manly streets, will benefit from the extension, which brings total spaces to 430.

Western Metropolitan Liberal MP Andrew Elsbury said the upgrade was welcome news for commuters.

“The project continues the improvements the government is making on the Werribee line, with the construction of Williams Landing railway station under way and expected to add 500 spaces for commuters in the area.”
