Western United’s round 13 game in the A-League Men’s competition has been postponed.

Western United has worked with Australian Professional Leagues to seek a venue for the men’s fixture against Adelaide United on January 20 for a number of weeks.

After several venues were turned down due to lack of availability, including AAMI Park, GMHBA Stadium, Mars Stadium, Morshead Park and Ikon Park, United was granted permission to postpone the fixture until a later date.

It is now hoped with the game being postponed, United fans will now have an extra match to look forward to at the Regional Football Facility in Tarneit, with the postponement allowing this fixture to be held at the club’s new venue upon its completion.

United’s A-League Women’s side will still face Adelaide on the weekend of January 20, with the side to play Adelaide on January 21 at the City Vista Pavilion and Sports Field.
