West Point’s dream Australia Cup run ended against Whitehorse.
Whitehorse scored two goals int the first half, before scoring another two early in the second half.
West Point was able to get a consultation goal through Matthew Walker.
Williamstown’s campaign came to an end in a penalty shoot out on Tuesday night.
Facing state league 1 north-west side Whittlesea United, the two teams produced one of the matches of the tournament so far.
Scores were locked at 1-1 at the end of regular time, after Williamstown led at half time.
The teams still couldn’t be split at the end of extra time, with the match to be decided on penalties.
Whittlesea would get the win 4-3.
Altona East Phoenix though is through to the next round.
A goal in the first half put the Phoenix in front against Mornington.
That would be the only goal of the match, with the Phoenix doing enough to get through to the next round.
Altona City is also out of the tournament after losing to Springvale White Eagles.
The Eagles scored twice in the first half, before doubling their advantage in the second half.
Altona Magic had already won through to the next round last week.
In other results, Hume City is finally on the winners list. The National Premier League side, which is without a win in that competition, needed extra time to beat Langwarrin on Tuesday night.
