Werribee Devils has sourced the well-travelled Reece Potter for its player and coach development manager position.
Potter will oversee the strategic vision and technical pathway of the club for the next three years, and will work closely with Devils’ coaches and players to implement basketball program reviews, education and pathways.
“The Werribee Basketball Association executive team is excited about the appointment,” WBA president Paul Jones said.
“Reece has great knowledge and passion in the areas of player and coach development.
“He is a great teacher of the game and has a clear vision for development and pathways for all coaches and players in the association.”
Potter has worked at all levels of Australian basketball. A national level 2 coach who holds a graduate certificate in sports coaching, Potter has worked as assistant coach with Sydney Flames and Canberra Capitals in the WNBL, as well as head coach of the Launceston Tornadoes in the SEABL.
Potter has also worked in development programs for Basketball NSW and Basketball Tasmania, and has coached at high school level.
“I am extremely excited to take on this new role with Werribee Basketball Association,” Potter said.
“There is enormous potential for growth and development here at Eagle Stadium and in the greater city of Wyndham.
“I am looking forward to working with all the clubs, coaches and players to help Werribee Basketball Association reach its potential and become a leading association in Australia for player and coach development.”
