Point Cook made the most of the Victorian Turf Cricket Association double header on the weekend, while there were mixed results for the other Wyndham teams.
With back-to-back one-dayers, the weekend gave sides the chance to set up their season as the Christmas break approaches.
In division 3, Point Cook won both their matches to cement a spot in the top four.
On Saturday, Point Cook accounted for Caroline Springs.
Point Cook made 8-153 from its overs Gurbaksh Khaira top scored with 41.
Caroline Springs got off to a strong start and were 0-58 before losing three quick wickets.
At 3-111, the Falcons still looked in control, but the loss of 4-2 changed the game.
The Falcons were eventually bowled out for 131.
Khaira took four wickets for Point Cook.
It was backed up with another strong performance against Sunshine Heights on Sunday.
Point Cook made 8-217 from its overs. Joshua van Zyl top scored with 65.
They then restricted Sunshine Heights to 7-183.
Nicholas Peacock was the only multiple wicket taker.
In other round three matches, Werribee Centrals lost both of its matches.
On Saturday, Centrals lost to Grand United.
Grand United made 5-231 from their overs with Moiz Ahmed and Jacob Russell taking two wickets each for Centrals.
Centrals never looked likely in the run chase bowled out for 120 in the 38th over
Ahmed Sohaib Khan scored 30 at the top of the order, with the next best 11.
On Sunday, Centrals lost to Glenroy.
Centrals were bowled out for 178 with five balls remaining, with Nuwan Withanage top scoring with 59.
After getting an early breakthrough it was tough work for the Centrals as Glenroy made the runs with ease.
Glenroy finished 4-180 with more than seven overs remaining.
It was all single wicket takers for the Centrals.
Point Cook sits third and Werribee Centrals in ninth.
In division 4, Bellbridge lost both its matches to Moonee Valley and Roxburgh Park.
In division 5, Sanctuary Lakes had mixed results.
On Saturday, the Sharks beat Donnybrook.
They were bowled out for 162 with Brett Talbot top scoring with 42 not out.
Then bowled Donnybrook out for 107. Talbot took 5-13.
It was a bad day on Sunday, as they were skittled by Jacana.
The Jaguars made 7-146 before the Sharks were bowled out for 68.
Wyndhamvale also had a mixed weekend, beating Jacana on Saturday and losing to Burnside Springs on Sunday.
