Ivisic signs on

Midfielder Xavier Ivisic is the latest player to sign on with Werribee for next year’s Victorian Football League season.

Ivisic arrives at Melbourne Avalon Airport Oval after spending 12 months at AFL level with Geelong.

His opportunities were limited by a syndesmosis injury, resulting in him not managing an AFL appearance in his debut season.

At VFL level, he made 13 appearances for the Cats, averaging 15 disposals and 3.5 tackles while playing primarily as an outside midfielder and flanker.

Among his standout performances were 20 disposals, seven marks and a goal against Brisbane in round 13, a career-high 24 touches against Collingwood in round 17, and a two-goal, 15-disposal effort in a win over North Melbourne the following week.

Ivisic was taken with Geelong’s first selection in the 2024 rookie draft after a standout under-18s season with Vic Country and the Geelong Falcons.

He showed throughout that 2024 campaign that he can accumulate plenty of the football, averaging 22 disposals per game at the National Championships and 25 disposals per game in the Coates Talent League.

He comes to Werribee joining several familiar faces at the club from his time at the Falcons – Noah Tullio, Liam Kershaw, Josh Sanders and Jack Henderson in 2026.
