The Seagulls ran all over the Footscray Bulldogs in the western derby to win by 39 points at Whitten Oval on Sunday.
Mitch Banner capped a best-on-ground performance for the Seagulls with three goals, while Andrew Gallucci had another impressive display to finish with two.
The Seagulls remain on top of the ladder on percentage, level on six wins with Box Hill Hawks and Werribee Tigers.
Footscray is way down in seventh and a long way off the form that took it to the premiership last season.
Both clubs have a bye this weekend.
