NPL

Werribee City played out a thrilling draw with Dandenong City in the National Premier League 2 competition on Saturday. The Bees opened the scoring just on half time, before making it 2-0 not long after the break. Dandenong got two goals back to level the scores, before hitting the front in the first minute of injury time. The Bees managed to find an equaliser in the fourth minute of injury time to make it 3-3 and come away with a point.

Australia Cup

Werribee City has been drawn to face Dandenong Thunder in the fourth round of the Australia Cup. National Premier League teams from all three divisions enter the competition in this round. The Bees will face the Thunder, a top tier NPL division side, on March 29.

A-League

Rising Western United star Noah Botic has signed on for another two seasons with the A-League Men’s club. Botic, who recently was named in his second Olyroos squad, has had a breakout start to 2023. Botic will continue to develop and learn his craft with Western United, a place that he feels is the perfect one for him to maintain his growth on and off the pitch.

WRFL

The Western Region Football League division 2 updated fixture has been released. With Glen Orden’s withdrawal from the competition, the league consulted club’s about the best way forward. The competition fixture will remain unchanged with one team to sit out with a bye each week. With not all teams having an equal number of byes, the competition will run under a ‘match ratio’ ladder. The match ratio ladder position is determined by percentage of games won versus games played.
