The finalists for the Victorian Turf Cricket Association T20 competition have been finalised. The final pool matches were played last week, with the top team in each of the 16 pool groups going through to the next round. Point Cook, Werribee Centrals and Sanctuary Lakes are joined in the next round by Gellibrand, PEGS, West Coburg, Sunbury, Jacana, Yarraville Club, Sunshine, the Druids, Maribyrnong Park St Marys, Deer Park and St Francis de Sales.

Bowls

Werribee got the points in the local derby in the Bowls Victoria weekend pennant, division 2, section 1. The Bees hosted Hoppers, which was coming off its first win on the season on Saturday. It was a big win for the Bees, winning 92 (16)-58 (2). Robert Smith, Robert Panton and Brendan Barker were the winning skips for the Bees, while Gregory Berry was the winning skip for Hoppers.

VMMNA

The Altona Falcons cemented their spot in the Victorian Men’s and Mixed Netball Association premier men’s competition top four. In the first game after the Christmas break, the Falcons accounted for the Ariels, 76-52. The Falcons sit in fourth with two rounds remaining. In the premier mixed competition, the Falcons beat the Valley Wolves, 67-50. The Falcons sit in third spot.
