Jessica Ryan was crowned champion of the state 8 level at the Victorian gymnastics championships.
Ryan, who represented the Werribee Gymnastics Club at the titles, was judged top of the class on the beam and came third in the floor and vault disciplines.
Ryan’s achievement was all the more impressive considering her limited preparation because of VCE studies.
Ebony Biden came a respectable 12th overall, just missing out on a medal in a fourth-placed finish on the floor.
