FFV: Win sets Bees abuzzing

WERRIBEE City recorded an easy 4-0 win over Box Hill United in division 1 of the Football Federation Victoria State League on Sunday.

The Bees controlled the game from start to finish and led 2-0 at half-time. The win moved Werribee to fourth on the table and within three points of top side Heidelberg United.

Bees sporting director Giorgio Pastorini said several players might return from injury for the clash against Sunshine George Cross this Sunday.

In division 4 west, Hoppers Crossing beat Bell Park 3-2, while in division 5 west, Point Cook enjoyed a mammoth 9-0 win over Sunshine Heights Western Tigers, with Joseph Spiteri scoring four goals. 

Truganina Hornets lost 2-0 to Melton Phoenix.
