Glenorden footballer faces life ban

A GLENORDEN footballer faces a life ban by AFL Victoria after being suspended for 18 weeks by the WRFL.

The 18-year-old was found to have struck an opponent during the half-time break of an under-18s match against West Footscray on June 1.

His opponent required five stitches.

AFL Victoria rules state a combined total sentence of 16 weeks or greater will “result in automatic deregistration”.
