WRFL: Sanctuary Lakes Sharks run away in last quarter

SANCTUARY Lakes turned up the heat in the last quarter to run out 28-point winners over Caroline Springs in the Western Region Football League division 2 at Featherbrook Reserve on Saturday.

Scores were deadlocked at three-quarter-time with little separating the two sides, but it was the Sharks who finished the game full of run with a five-goals-to-one last term burst.

Jessi Lampi starred and Matthew Debono booted four goals in the Sharks second win in three matches.

■ Glenorden took its show on the road to Dempster Park, flogging a goal-less North Sunshine by 210 points to make it seven straight wins to start the season.

The Hawks boom recruit Damien Yze booted 10 goals and has 27 in his past three matches.

Chris Scudamore was named the Hawks best.

■ Wyndhamvale cruised to a 76-point win over Albanvale on their visit to Robert Bruce Oval. Paul O’Shea bagged six goals for the Falcons.
