WRFL: Manor Lakes’ Ty Priest boots 14 goals

NEWCOMER Manor Lakes walloped Braybrook by 137 points on Anzac Day in the Western Region Football League division 2.

The Storm remains unbeaten on top of the pile with an incredible percentage of 355.87.

Ty Priest continued his irresistible form in front of goal with 14 majors.

That takes his season’s tally to 40 in four outings.

Haydn Templeton, Cameron Baker and Josh Callanan were in red-hot form.

Sanctuary Lakes made it a perfect weekend for Wyndham’s expansion clubs with victory for the first time.

The Sharks trailed North Sunshine by a goal at quarter-time. But then they went on a goal rampage in the last three quarters, running away to win by a whopping 152 points.

Matthew Davis and Mathew Zurek each booted six goals in the rout, while Jordan Lampi claimed best-on-ground honours.

Wyndhamvale booted 10 goals in the last quarter to record a percentage-boosting 166-point drubbing of Laverton Magpies on the road.

The Falcons had a mammoth 54 scoring shots, but were let down by a poor conversion rate that dropped below 50 per cent.

Meanwhile, Hoppers Crossing has the weekend off to contemplate its 2-1 start to the division 1 season.

The Warriors will return to the field for a tough test against newly promoted Yarraville-Seddon at Hogans Road on Saturday.
