LITTLE River has managed to cling to a Geelong Cricket Association division 3 firsts top-six berth, despite a terrible last-round showing.
The Redbacks, set a modest 148 for victory against Winchelsea at Little River Reserve on Saturday, crumbled to be all out for 93 and lost by 55 runs.
Instead of a fourth-placed finish and an easier assignment in week one of the finals, the Redbacks will face minor premiers Meredith in a cut-throat game starting on Saturday.
