Police have charged a 17-year-old boy, and issued two other youths with infringement notices, after attending Ecoville Park in Tarneit today.
Officers from the Wyndham North police station attended the Cindia Crescent park, following ongoing reports of offensive behaviour and illegal activities at the site.
While police were at the park, they were approached by a large group of youths who allegedly asked the officers what they were doing in “their park”.
Police called reinforcements and three youths were detained. One of the youths, 17, was charged with refusing to provide a name and address, resisting police and behaving in a riotous manner.
He was bailed to appear at the Children’s Court at a future date.
