Young people encouraged to share thoughts

Wyndham council is encouraging young people to share their opinions, ideas, and challenges and the issues that they care about through the Youth Survey 2022.

The opt-in survey is open for people aged 12-25 who live, study, play, work or socialise in Wyndham, and provides council with important data about the current needs of Wyndham’s young people.

The results of the survey will be compiled into a report and will include information about mental health and wellbeing, bullying, work and study, neighbourhood and community, and social media use.

The report will also be used to inform Wyndham City’s Youth Services programs, activities, and facilities over the coming year.

The 2021 survey results indicated that a quarter of all respondents had experienced bullying in the previous year (24 per cent).

The survey also highlighted the importance of mental wellbeing, after stress and mental health were listed as the primary concerns among respondents, who also had indicated their average mental health to be neutral, with a score of 3.0 out of 5.0.

Survey participants can also choose to go in the draw to win one of three pairs of Beats By Dre Studio Buds.
