Wyndham’s top businesses awarded

Laverton North social enterprise, Fruit2Work, has been named Wyndham’s Business of the Year.

The supplier of fruit and milk to office kitchens, which employs recently released prisoners, was announced as the 2023 winner at a gala event on Friday, August 25.

Fruit2Work, which also took out the not-for-profit or social enterprise award, beat four other category winners to take out the top prize.

The other major awards went to Sunil Kumar from Reliance Real Estate who won Business Person of the Year and Monique Quach from MQ Essentials who was named the Young Business Person of the Year.

Winners in 13 different categories were announced in what is the award’s 27th year.

“The awards are Wyndham City’s way of acknowledging and celebrating the

important contribution our business community makes to our City.” said Wyndham mayor Susan McIntyre.

“In a growing municipality like ours, we need a strong, dynamic business community

that fosters economic prosperity.

“All of our winners are worthy recipients for their hard work, innovation and

outstanding efforts in their industry,” Cr McIntyre said.
