Most kids want toys and sweets for their birthdays, but all eight-year-old Jordan wanted was for his book to be published.
Jordan’s mother Samantha was all too willing to try and make her son’s dreams come true.
“I logged into Snapfish and I took photos of his book, and made him like a hardcover printed out book,” Ms Foster said.
“He probably thinks that there’s a million copies of it, and that people can actually go out and buy it. If that’s what makes him smile, that’s fine.”
Jordan’s book is called The Missile.
“It’s about a man who becomes an Alien named Crypto and he’s trying to take over the planet and he has all these weapons.”
Jordan spends his spare time drawing and writing new books, Ms Foster said he tells everyone he wants to be a writer and an illustrator.
“He’ll get like a stack of A4 paper and I’ll have to fold it and staple it for him along the spine, and then he will create a book out of it.”
“It’s just cute because he’s inspiring all of his school friends. And his little sister, she started making books as well because she just wants to be like her brother.”
Ms Foster said her son is usually very shy but the experience has boosted his confidence.
“It’s like he’s a celebrity. He walks through the playground and the parents know who he is. All of his friends are asking about the book and if they can buy it.”
Jordan said everyone who wants to write a book should give it a try.
“They should have a go, they will be so proud of themselves and it will make them smile.”
