Wyndham Vale man charged over alleged meth trafficking

A 27-year-old Wyndham Vale man has been charged following his alleged involvement in a Mildura-based meth syndicate.

The man was arrested by police after an intercept of a vehicle he was driving in Red Cliffs shortly before noon, Tuesday, April 22.

A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately two kilograms of methamphetamine valued around $1 million, which is classified as a large commercial quantity.

He was then charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of methamphetamine and made to appear at Mildura Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 23.

Following the seizure, detectives executed search warrants at two residential properties in Mildura resulting in three further arrests.

A 35-year-old Mildura man was also arrested and charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of methamphetamine.

He was remanded to appear at Mildura Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 16.

A 37-year-old Mildura woman was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and was bailed to appear at Mildura Magistrates’ Court on April 28.
