For the first time in two years audience members for The Victorian State Schools Spectacular will see the performance in person.

Of the 3000 students involved, Year 12 Tarneit Senior College student Neema Kashindi will participate as a principal vocalist.

“My family was always musically oriented and I genuinely loved singing so when I did spec for the first time in 2015 I wanted to be like the people on stage one day,” she said.

“At this year’s spectacular, I will be performing a solo with the song ‘Pumpin Blood’, I am also featured in a lot of other songs one of them being the finale act with the song ‘Everybody’s free (to feel good)’,” she said.

“I’m really excited as this is the first show we’re actually doing in the arena after a couple of years and we’ve actually been able to do rehearsals in person without any disturbances like quarantines and lockdowns.”

The Spectacular will be held on Saturday, September 10, at the John Cain Arena at 1pm and 6.30pm.
