Wyndham Grand Annual Yoga Trail returns

The Wyndham Grand Annual Yoga Trail is back at beautiful sites across the municipality.

Event founder Bek Blake combined her love for yoga and Wyndham by bringing the event to life six years ago.

The trail sessions are at Werribee Park Mansion, Werribee South beach, Shadowfax Winery, the State Rose Garden and the Open Range Zoo.

“I used to visit all these locations frequently with my children and I was amazed how little locals would utilise them,” she said.

“I asked the respective locations and they were too happy to host us. I believe we need a connection with nature.”

Ms Blake got the idea to begin yoga when, while waiting in line to pay a bill at Werribee post office, she noticed a DVD on the shelf. She has since reaped the rewards.

“You learn that your own body is worth listening to,” she said.

“You learn that you are a unique collection of life experiences and thoughts and there is always hope. The body mind and spirit are one and the same.

“Balance is not about getting things to a certain state of perfection – it is the ability to adapt, change and thrive in all seasons and situations.”

All are invited to join the trail. More information at: www.newdayyoga.com.au/grand-annual-yoga-trail
