Dog owner Michelle Norling is using social media to help pooches in Wyndham meet new play pals.
The Hoppers Crossing resident runs a Facebook group called Wyndham Dog Adventures.
She started the group earlier this month after being frustrated when trying to find fellow Wyndham dog owners through internet apps.
Through the group, pet owners are able to notify others when they are going to be at locations such as the off-leash dog area at President’s Park in Wyndham Vale.

Ms Norling said the Wyndham Dog Adventures group helped dogs find play companions and provided their owners plenty of opportunities to socialise.
“Even some people in the community, such as older people, who do not have much to fill their days, could come down and watch the dogs from behind the fence,” she said. “Or families could bring a picnic on weekends.”

Ms Norling said she would also like to organise Christmas lunches and expeditions for dog owners and their best friends to areas such as the Altona dog beach or Werribee South beach.
Ms Norling said her chow-chow Peggy Sue was writing a blog as a part of the Facebook group, which has more than 70 members.
