Putting on the Big V guernsey is something that many Aussie Rules players only dream about.

Wyndham All Abilities Football Club members Jamie Mifsud and Jason Wickham made that dream a reality recently when they were selected to play in the Victorian Metro team for the AFL National Inclusion Carnival.

The pair made the cut after impressing selectors at a try-out session earlier this year.

Mifsud, 25, played in the midfield and as a half-back throughout the carnival and was named best metro player, scoring a place in the All-Australian Inclusion team.

Wickham, 30, played in the backline and ruck.

The Victorian Metro team made it all the way to the grand final, where it beat South Australia 10.5 (65) to 2.5 (17).

The Wyndham All-Abilities Football and Cricket Club provides opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to take part in football and cricket competitions.

The 22-year-old club has about 50 members aged 14 to 45 and was the first disability sports club in the western suburbs.
