Residents with a talent for storytelling have been invited to enter the Wyndham Writing Awards.

The competition, held by Wyndham council, will have four categories: short story, graphic short story, flash story and poetry.

Wyndham’s arts, culture and heritage portfolio holder, Cr Tony Hooper, said that shortlisted works would be published in the Wyndham Writing Awards Anthology 2019.

He said that this year’s writing awards would also include two guest panelists – Victorian poet, novelist and short story writer Adam Ford, and illustrator and comic-maker Jess Kitty Parker.

Entries to the Wyndham Writing Awards will close on June 30. Entry is restricted to residents of Victoria aged 18 years and over. Submitted works must be previously unpublished.
