Two of Wyndham’s most high-profile business women have shared the secrets and challenges of their success at a Women in Business lunch.
Talking to more than 100 Wyndham businesswomen at Chirnsides by the River last week, Joanne Hopper, 2018 Business Person of the Year and co-owner of Hopper Motor Group, called on women to be kinder to themselves as they juggled their businesses, family lives and all the tasks that come with them.
“Anyone brave enough to be in business … knows we all have challenges,” Ms Hopper said.
“Attitude and effort is the key.”
Dr Jenny Gray, chief executive of Zoos Victoria, shared the life lessons from working in zoos, including knowing who you are working with, having a clear vision and taking a logical approach to decision making.
Zoos Victoria oversees the running of Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Open Range Zoo and Healesville Sanctuary.
The Women in Business lunch was organised by Wyndham council’s economic development unit.
