Woman injured in Tarneit crash

A woman in her 30s has been taken to hospital after she crashed through the front of a Tarneit home this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Wickford Road property about 9.20am to find a car stuck in the brick house after crashing through the front door.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are still unclear.

The driver, the sole occupant of the car, was already out of the car when emergency services arrived. She was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries and was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.

It is believed two people were in the house at the time of the crash, but were not injured.

Truganina CFA captain Colleen Goodfellow said the CFA had already removed the car from the house, and a building surveyor and the SES were currently assessing the property.
