Woman in critical condition after being hit by truck in Werribee

A woman has sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a truck in Werribee in the early hours of Monday, December 2.

Police said the woman pulled her car into an emergency stopping zone on the Princes Freeway shortly before 1am.

Police believe the woman stepped onto the road and was hit by a B-Double truck.

She was taken to hospital in a critical condition with severe leg injuries, while the male truck driver was injured and stopped at the scene, according to police.
