Wyndham’s State Emergency Service (SES) was called out to 20 properties when wild winds whipped the state last week.
SES crews attended about 750 call-outs across Victoria last Wednesday as wind gusts of between 80 and 110km/h were recorded in many parts of the state.
Most of the calls were for fallen trees and minor building damage.
Victoria SES spokeswoman Sally Lowenstein said the Wyndham unit was called out to 20 jobs on Wednesday night, including eight in Tarneit and five in Werribee.
The rest were in Truganina, Wyndham Vale, Point Cook and Mount Cottrell.
Ms Lowenstein said the bulk of call-outs related to damaged or fallen trees and tiles blown off roofs.
“A trampoline in Tarneit went on a bit of a wander, and in Werribee, the roof of a shed blew off and onto a neighbour’s car,” she said.
The damage comes almost two months after a mini-tornado tore through a Werribee street, causing damage to six Mary Avenue properties.
In that instance, strong winds downed power lines and trees and tore roofs off properties.
Wyndham SES unit commander Laurie Russell called on residents to secure any outdoor furniture and other items, particularly trampolines, ahead of storm and wild weather forecasts.
