Land is selling like hot cakes across Wyndham, with 21 lots in Tarneit going to new owners within two hours of the latest release.
Some buyers were so eager to buy into stage 12 of the Westbrook estate that they slept in the carpark the night before to ensure they were first in line, while others drove all the way from Sydney.
The cheapest parcel of land went for $187,000 and the most expensive for $235,150.
Dennis Family Corporations chief executive Peter Levinge said the land release was one of the fastest sell-outs in the developer’s history.
He said the Westbrook estate had received an exceptional response since its launch in May.
“The level of demand is showing no signs of slowing,” he said. “Every land release to date has sold out quickly, with buyers rushing in for blocks immediately they become available.
“Although we were always confident Westbrook would be popular, the demand we have seen has been incredible and has certainly exceeded our original expectations.
“Buyers recognise that Westbrook holds the advantage of having Tarneit railway station within the estate and already in operation. Our planning has ensured that Westbrook’s future residents will have everything today’s families need in their local neighbourhood.”
