The outdoor dining West End Experience will return to Werribee this week, for the final time this season.
An initiative of Wyndham council, the pop-up al-fresco eating precinct will be set up on Watton Street, between the Bridge Hotel and Wedge Street.
Fifteen local restaurants, cafes and bars will participate in the West End Experience from Friday to Sunday, as part of the council’s COVID-recovery strategy to boost local jobs, outdoor entertainment and socialising.
Wyndham’s creative city portfolio holder, Cr Marcel Mahfoud, said the state government – along with business and property owner associations – had helped with funding and support.
“The West End Experience has proved very popular and it’s back for one last time with a jam-packed program, this is one you and the family don’t want to miss,” Cr Marcel Mahfoud said.
“The Youth Street Surfer Bus will be there on Friday night.
“Saturday is the perfect time to come with the family with Frozen 2 playing on the big screen and we will have face painting for the kids.
“For the car enthusiasts, we have the Westside Cruisers Hotrod and Custom Car Club on Sunday.”
“You will also get the chance to have a reptile encounter on Sunday, which is perfect for your lizard and snake loving kids.”
The West End Experience will feature cuisines including burgers, pizza, cheesecake, Thai, Indonesian, Filipino and Indian.
The event will run from 5-11pm on Friday, 11am-11pm on Saturday and 11am-9pm on Sunday.
