Hundreds of young performers will twirl and tap into the spotlight at the Wyndham Cultural Centre later this month.
The In Motion Performing Arts Challenge (In Motion PAC) Troupe Day will be held on Sunday, August 27.
More than 450 dancers aged from four to 17 will compete in styles including classical ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical and hip-hop.
Ten-year-olds Addison and Mackenzie, who are students of the Volar Dance Centre in Werribee, will be among the local children participating in the challenge.
In Motion PAC director Ros Barratt said the troupe challenge was the second section of the annual competition.
The first part, for solo dancers, was held in Werribee in April and involved 350 dancers from across Australia performing over four days.
“We’re genuinely thrilled to host the second portion of our annual competition in the heart of Werribee,” Ms Barratt said.
“We have a fantastic group of dance schools and families who thoroughly enjoy being part of our friendly, not-for-profit competition.”
The In Motion Performing Arts Challenge will be open to the public from 8am-8pm on August 27.
Tickets will cost $12 for adults, children are admitted for free.
