Werribee speedster

Police have impounded a motorcycle after it was allegedly detected travelling at more than 250 kilometres per hour in Werribee on Saturday night.

Officers observed the 2019 Aprilia model motorbike travelling at a high speed along the Princes Freeway about 8.30pm.

The bike was ridden to an address in Wyndham Vale. Westgate Highway Patrol officers were notified and attended the property.

They spoke to a 28-year-old Wyndham Vale man, who is expected to be charged on summons for driving at a speed dangerous and other traffic offences.

His motorcycle was impounded with towing costs of $1006.
