Werribee South car accident

A woman was taken to hospital after a single-vehicle accident on Duncans Road, Werribee South today.

Emergency services, including firefighters from the Werribee Fire Brigade, attended the scene just after 8.05am.

It is believed a car hit a power pole.

Firefighters removed a door from the car, allowing Ambulance Victoria paramedics to remove a female driver from inside the car.

Paramedics treated the woman, believed to be aged in her fifties, for a leg injury

The driver was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
